This refresher course brings your knowledge and skills in line with current Health and Safety (First Aid) 1981 regulations, ensuring you remain a confident and competent workplace first aider.

Whether you work in a low-risk office or a high-risk industrial setting, this training is designed to keep your response skills sharp and your certification valid.

• Certified first aiders needing to renew their First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification

Please note: If you previously completed only the Emergency First Aid at Work (1-day course), you’ll need to repeat that same course rather than this requalification course.

Course Duration:
12 hours, usually split across two days (e.g., 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily)

What You’ll Learn:

• Managing unresponsive casualties

• Performing CPR and using an AED

• Placing casualties in the recovery position

• Responding to heart attacks and strokes

• Handling medical emergencies like asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, and anaphylaxis

• Treating wounds, bleeding, fractures, sprains, and head injuries

• Dealing with burns, scalds, poisoning, and eye injuries

• Assessing and managing chest, spinal, and minor injuries

Assessment & Certification:
You’ll complete a series of practical exercises along with two straightforward multiple-choice tests. No previous knowledge is required to attend, and successful participants receive an accredited First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years, delivered within 48 hours of completing the course.
